This course provides the knowledge of cocktails and the tools of the trade. It offers an introduction to the world of cocktails and explores its history and its roots, distinguishing them among different types and analysing the recipes. Moreover, there is the possibility to know and to analyse the ingredients used and the different mechanisms of cocktail mixology. The course starts with theoretical modules and then continues with practical modules to learn how to organize the “working area” and to know and to use the tools of trade.
This course is addressed to professionals and privates interested in it.

Participants: Between 5* and 10 maximum.

Course overview:
Hands-on, practical and theoretical instructions, theoretical and practical lessons with experiments and technical tests, final examination and certificate of attendance.

14.00 – 15.30: U.S.A. position , its organization and preparation, the knowledge of supporting technical equipments and warehouse management
15.30 – 16.30: Bases of commodity economy and technical commodity economy
16.30 – 17.30: Analyse and cocktail preparation (categories, portion rules, mixing processes)
17.30 – 18.30: Methods of cocktail preparation
18.30 – 19.00: Examination
